I spent many hours researching the diet on my 2022 6.7 mega cab Ram. I found very mixed reviews and seemed the consensus was you needed to spend $6K to delete your 2022 Cummins. I even read where if you try to tune your newer ECU it would turn into a brick and it would be worthless.
Along came Diesel Patriots and I searched for info but there was not allot of info, so I would like to put out my experience with tuning my factory ECU in my 2022 Ram.
I called Diesel Patriots to feel them out, asked a few questions and what the hell, right ? So they got my CC info and shipping was good, downloading the Auto Agent app and plugging into the truck was not hard at all. I found a YouTube channel called Dark Iron Diesel. And he did a full delete using the E-Z link and auto agent. Very step by step for the tune, exhaust change out and EGR delete process.
So far the only thing that isn’t perfect is the trans is having to learn shift points and converter lock up points. So truck is driving good just a little different. The wife and I ran to town to give the truck a road test and 20mpg was easy going down the road. Before delete I averaged about 16mpg.

I knew right away I didn’t want to deal with an ECM swap. Way too much hassle, and the prices people are paying for older ECMs are crazy. That’s why I was glad to find Diesel Patriots. Their kit claimed to work on new trucks without all that, and after reading a few detailed reviews, I decided to pull the trigger. Install took me and a friend about a full day, mostly because we double-checked every step. Everything fit right, and the tune flashed on the first try. Truck has been running great ever since. No CELs, better throttle, and smoother shifting especially when towing. This is one of those upgrades that just makes sense.
