How does tuning work?

Tuning involves adjusting your vehicle's engine control unit (ECU) to enhance performance, fuel efficiency, or other preferences. It can modify the way your engine performs by changing settings like fuel/air ratios, ignition timing, and turbo pressure.

What does the tuning device do?

The tuning device connects to your vehicle's OBD-II port and communicates with the ECU. It allows you to upload custom settings (or “tunes”) to adjust your engine's performance. These devices also allow for data logging, diagnostics, and monitoring of engine performance.

What is the process for getting a custom tune?

1. Initial Setup: After purchasing a device, you’ll connect it to your vehicle and send us the information it gathers.
2.  Creation of Advance Tune Customization: Using that data, we create an advanced custom tune that significantly increases power while maintaining efficiency. Our focus is on delivering enhanced performance without excessive smoke or burning too much fuel.
3. Installation: We’ll send the custom file back to you, and you can load it onto your device to upload it into your ECU.

Why is there a price difference in tuning?

The price reflects the level of customization involved. Unlike generic tunes, which are pre-made and may not be optimized for your specific vehicle, our custom tunes are tailored to your vehicle’s unique configuration and your preferences. This requires expert knowledge, detailed analysis of your vehicle's data, and crafting a solution that balances performance, safety, and durability.

What do you provide besides the tune?

We offer ongoing support to ensure the tune works perfectly for your vehicle. This includes revisions based on your feedback or changes to your vehicle. Plus, our service includes personalized customer care.

Is tuning safe for my vehicle?

Yes, when done properly. Our custom tunes are designed to be safe and reliable. We carefully balance performance improvements with engine longevity to ensure that the tuning process doesn’t cause harm to your engine or other components.

Compatible with 2013,2014,2015,2016,2017,2018 Ram Cummins 6.7L Diesel models (2500 and 3500), these kits are designed to fit all pickup trims, regardless of cab or bed length, including Mega Cab. Please note, this kit is not suitable for Cab & Chassis models.

The Full Delete Bundle offers a permanent solution to free your truck from the restrictive factory emissions system.

This bundle allows you to completely remove all emissions-related parts and sensors, including:

• DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter)
• DEF tank (Diesel Exhaust Fluid)
• EGR System (Exhaust Gas Recirculation)
• CAT (Catalytic Converters, such as DOC and NOX)

Our custom delete tunes make this possible by removing the emissions system from your truck's computer.

Here’s what you need to do:

1. Plug the tuner into your truck’s OBDII port (located under the steering wheel).
2. Follow the provided instructions to install the tunes. (Tech support is available if needed.)

Once the emissions system is removed from the truck's programming, you can take out all the emissions components that have been limiting your truck’s performance.

The kit includes a DPF/CAT delete pipe that replaces the factory DPF and CAT in the exhaust system. The EGR delete kit will let you fully remove the EGR system, seal the openings, and reroute the exhaust for improved flow.

If you opt for the EZ Lynk Bundle, no computer is needed. However, the following requirements apply to the EFI Live Bundle:

To ensure smooth operation with your EFI Live delete tuner, make sure your computer or laptop meets the following minimum requirements:

- Software: EFI Live Scan & Tune Software V8, available for free download from the EFI Live website.

- Operating System: PC or laptop running Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, or 11. Not compatible with Mac or Linux systems.

- Connectivity: One available USB port for connecting the EFI Live tuner to your computer.

- Display: A standard monitor or laptop screen is recommended.

- Storage: At least 1GB of free hard drive space.

Please note that for the EFI Live, the delete tunes are not preloaded. We will send the delete tunes to you via email.

You’ll need to use the EFI Live V8 software (free to install) to transfer the delete tunes from your computer to the EFI Live device.

The step-by-step instructions will be provided, but please be aware that a Windows 7+ computer is required. Macs and older PCs are not compatible.

Monitoring

The EZ Lynk connects to your smartphone via the AutoAgent app, allowing you to use your phone as a dashboard monitor to track multiple parameters at once. In contrast, EFI Live doesn’t have any built-in monitoring capabilities. However, you can buy an Edge Monitor and use it after installing the tune to track your truck’s performance.

Preloaded Tunes & Power Settings

EZ Lynk comes with preloaded delete tunes, making setup quick and easy, especially if you're not very experienced with electronic devices. Simply plug it into your truck's OBDII port and manage the system through the free AutoAgent app. It also includes 5 power levels, along with Hiss and Rumble tunes.

With EFI Live, the delete tunes are not preloaded. Instead, they are sent to you via email, and you'll need to follow the provided instructions to upload them into the EFI Live device using a Windows 7+ computer. EFI Live offers 4 power settings.

Factory Reset

With the EZ Lynk, you can easily return your truck to its factory settings using the device, which is useful if you need to reinstall the emissions system.

EFI Live, however, does not offer this feature. If you decide to restore your truck's ECM to its original settings, you’ll need to visit a dealership to have it flashed back to factory configuration.

The EZ Lynk and EFI Live come with custom delete tunes.

After your purchase, you'll receive a form to fill out with the required information (such as VIN, year, make, and model). Once we receive this information, we will process your custom tune within 2-3 days.

If you ordered the EZ Lynk, we will ship it to you with the custom tune already preloaded onto the device. Just plug it into your vehicle to upload the tune.

For the EFI Live, we will email you the delete tune file along with step-by-step instructions on how to download and install it.

We process and ship all orders within 1-2 business days. Once shipped, delivery typically takes 3-5 business days, depending on your location. You will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number once your order has been dispatched. Please note that delivery times may vary slightly due to carrier schedules or external factors beyond our control.

We offer a 3-year warranty on all our products, covering defects in materials or workmanship. If your product stops functioning properly due to no fault of your own, we will replace it at no additional cost.Additionally, we accept replacements for products damaged during installation, but only for the EGR Delete Kit, DPF Delete Kit, or full exhaust. To qualify for a replacement, the request must be made within 30 days of purchase.
