Compatible with all cab configurations: Regular Cab, Double Cab, and Crew Cab. All bed lengths. Does NOT fit Cab & Chassis configurations. Select the correct sub-range at checkout - 2017-2019 and 2020-2023 trucks use different emissions hardware and require different kit configurations.

After purchase you will receive an email with a form and installation instructions. Fill out the form with your VIN, make, model year, and any modifications - make sure to indicate your exact sub-range (2017-2019 or 2020-2023), as these require different tune files due to the emissions hardware update at the 2020 model year. Our tuning team builds your custom L5P delete tune and loads it via the HP Tuner platform.

We process and ship all orders within 1-2 business days to all U.S. states. Once shipped, delivery typically takes 5-8 business days, depending on your location.

Our tunes are made in-house by people who have worked with Duramax. We build and support the tuning for your truck ourselves.

How does tuning work?

Our tunes are built for real truck owners—people who tow, haul, or drive their rig every day. They're clean, reliable, and built in-house by pros who know what they're doing. No racing nonsense, just solid performance and better fuel economy.

For the 6.6L L5P Duramax, this means a tune built around eliminating DPF regen cycles, EGR soot buildup, and DEF system faults - the three failure points that define the 2017-2023 Silverado and Sierra ownership experience. Your tune is delivered via the HP Tuner platform and is personalized to your specific VIN and sub-range.

You give us the basics (VIN, make, model, and any mods), and we build a custom tune that fits your truck like a glove. Once it’s in, say goodbye to DEF headaches and warning lights. You’ll be ready to tow with confidence—and it’s all included, no extra fees.

What Does the Device Do?

The tuner plugs into your OBD-II port and loads your custom tune. It also lets you check performance, run diagnostics, and keep your truck dialed in.

Allison transmission tuning is available as a separate add-on at $1,300, which includes the TCM (Transmission Control Module) unlock required to modify Allison shift programming on 2017-2023 L5P trucks. This tune optimizes shift points and line pressure for sustained towing conditions, reducing heat buildup and improving long-term Allison reliability. It is not included in the base bundle - contact us by phone or email to add it to your order.

Shift on the fly (through the steering wheel):

Lev 1: Stock (0HP Added) Ideal for fuel economy, reliability, towing and daily driving

Lev 2:+50HP Ideal for fuel economy, reliability, towing and daily driving

Lev 3: +100HP Ideal performance

Lev 4: +150HP Ideal for Performance, modifications to truck may be required

Lev 5: +200HP Recommended only for modified trucks.

For the tune installation, you need a laptop. The laptop must be a PC running Windows with at least Windows 7 or newer. Macintosh and Linux systems are not compatible.

Once you place your order, plug your HP Tuner into your vehicle’s OBD-II port to retrieve your ECU stock file. Then, send us the file, and we’ll tune it and send it back to you. The process is simple, and the entire installation takes about 30 minutes.
