How does tuning work?

Tuning involves adjusting your vehicle's engine control unit (ECU) to enhance performance, fuel efficiency, or other preferences. It can modify the way your engine performs by changing settings like fuel/air ratios, ignition timing, and turbo pressure.

What does the tuning device do?

The tuning device connects to your vehicle's OBD-II port and communicates with the ECU. It allows you to upload custom settings (or “tunes”) to adjust your engine's performance. These devices also allow for data logging, diagnostics, and monitoring of engine performance.

What is the process for getting a custom tune?

1. Initial Setup: After purchasing a device, you’ll connect it to your vehicle and send us the information it gathers.
2.  Creation of Advance Tune Customization: Using that data, we create an advanced custom tune that significantly increases power while maintaining efficiency. Our focus is on delivering enhanced performance without excessive smoke or burning too much fuel.
3. Installation: We’ll send the custom file back to you, and you can load it onto your device to upload it into your ECU.

Why is there a price difference in tuning?

The price reflects the level of customization involved. Unlike generic tunes, which are pre-made and may not be optimized for your specific vehicle, our custom tunes are tailored to your vehicle’s unique configuration and your preferences. This requires expert knowledge, detailed analysis of your vehicle's data, and crafting a solution that balances performance, safety, and durability.

What do you provide besides the tune?

We offer ongoing support to ensure the tune works perfectly for your vehicle. This includes revisions based on your feedback or changes to your vehicle. Plus, our service includes personalized customer care.

Is tuning safe for my vehicle?

Yes, when done properly. Our custom tunes are designed to be safe and reliable. We carefully balance performance improvements with engine longevity to ensure that the tuning process doesn’t cause harm to your engine or other components.

This tune is only compatible with trucks with OEM air intake systems or S&B air intake systems. 

Important Fitment Note on the BDX DEVICES ONLY : This tune is only compatible with trucks with OEM air intake systems or S&B air intake systems. Other intakes will not be compatible.

The tune we provide for the BDX and Ez Lynk are a custom delete tunes, preloaded onto the device before shipping. Simply plug it into your vehicle to upload the tune.

We will also send you step-by-step instructions for installation. If you encounter any problems during the installation, feel free to contact us we're happy to help!

BDX Power Settings: ( NO SOTF SWITCH WITH BDX TUNER)

Level 1- "Stock" No added HP. Ideal for daily driving, towing.

Level 2- "Tow" +80HP. Ideal for daily driving, towing.

Level 3- "Street" +160HP. Ideal for daily driving and performance.

Level 4- "Race" +250HP. Ideal for performance applications.

Transmission Tunes are included in all models.

Do I have to delete ALL emissions parts?

You must delete the DPF at the minimum. EGR deletes are recommended, unplug the wiring harness if you don't delete it. With this tune you can unplug all other exhaust related sensors. 

Does the BDX need to remain plugged in?

Once the delete tune is installed, you can unplug the tuner. You will need to plug it in to switch the power level.

Can this tune multiple trucks?

No. This tune is built to order to your specific truck and is locked to the VIN once installed. 

Will this save my stock tune just in case?

Yes. You can revert your truck back to factory settings anytime

The tunes we create for BDX is custom tune.

After your purchase, you'll receive a form to fill out with the required information (such as VIN, year, make, and model). Once we receive this information, we will process your custom tune within 2-3 days.

Once you receive your tuner, it will come with the custom tune already preloaded onto the device. Simply plug it into your vehicle to upload the tune following step-by-step instructions that we will send you.

We process and ship all orders within 1-2 business days. Once shipped, delivery typically takes 3-5 business days, depending on your location. You will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number once your order has been dispatched. Please note that delivery times may vary slightly due to carrier schedules or external factors beyond our control.

We offer a 3-year warranty on all our products, covering defects in materials or workmanship. If your product stops functioning properly due to no fault of your own, we will replace it at no additional cost.

Additionally, we accept replacements for products damaged during installation, but only for the EGR Delete Kit, DPF Delete Kit, or full exhaust. To qualify for a replacement, the request must be made within 30 days of purchase.
